R de Ruinart Brut is the original expression of the Ruinart legacy. This champagne has a vibrant, clear yellow colour with subtle gold lights. It reveals a good brilliance with sustained effervescence and very persistent foam. This champagne is frank and direct on the palate and round and full-bodied in the mouth, with ripe fruits characters (greengages and nectarines) for a well-balanced result. The finish is long, the well-integrated dosage giving way to the characteristic freshness of the Chardonnay which makes up most of the blend.
Food matching: Perfect champagne for aperitifs whatever the occasion. It is also a great match be with refined, light starters such as poached oysters and seared scallops, or with a fish dish such as sole meunière. Or try it accompanied by local cheeses with a short ripening time, such as Chaource or a very creamy Langres.

About Ruinart: The House of Ruinart is the first established House of Champagne in 1729 and was inspired by the intuition of a monk well ahead of his time. Chardonnay is the very soul of Ruinart. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all our cuvées.
