DescriptionCroft Quinta da Roeda Vintage Port - 2004 - 75cl
Croft Quinta da Roeda is a vintage port of 2002, one of the driest years on record. Deep ruby-red coloured, this port has a warm and mature nose with a dense core of molasses and sweet scents of ripe black cherry, prune, sultana and dried fig. As it opens up in the glass, the wine reveals intricate dimensions of aroma, with a subtle resiny hint of eucalyptus and evocative notes of cigar box, rose petal and freshly baked bread. The palate has a dense, velvety texture and generous, mellow flavour, lifted on the mid-palate by lively acidity and beautifully integrated, polished tannins. The rich flavours of dark chocolate, maraschino and plum pudding linger into the impressively long finish.
